5 reasons why your kids need to do BJJ

1-Efective, real self defense

Children will eventually need to defend themselves. As always, teaching them to avoid fights is one of the best forms of defense. But we cannot ensure that our children can defend themselves. Jiu-Jitsu however will effectively help them.
Providing the right tools for children to learn how to defend off by themselves is one of the best gifts parents can give.
BJJ will give your child a REAL means of self-defense. Bullying is on the rise and a real concern in all schools. Jiu Jitsu will give your child more confidence and that is the #1 bully deterrent. Bullies don't want to pick on confident children, they want easy prey. But besides being confident, they will have the tools to physically defend themselves. Not through flashy, choreographed dance like moves or board breaking but through hours on the mats spent training real situations and how to deal with them using BJJ.

2-Children need goals

Teach children to have goals so they can achieve higher!
Children nowadays are too caught up in video games and other activities that provide little or no real achievement. Children brag about how well they do on video games. But to what end?

Getting them into martial arts such as Jiu-Jitsu at a high level such as in our ATT Deerfield will help children focus on real achievements and goals!
Through the learning process in Jiu Jitsu you learn to reach a little farther and work a little bit harder each day. The goal every day is to improve by 1%.

3-Develop good habits

Jiu-Jitsu teaches children leadership and camaraderie among other children as well. There is a strong bond between children who learn martial arts together with other children. There is a greater sense of bond between them!

In BJJ class, children will meet many new friends and share experiences. Whether it is drilling techniques, playing a game or rolling – it is great practice for kids to learn to communicate with other kids of all ages, as well as older authority figures like the instructors and assistant instructors.

4- Builds confidence and self-esteem

Confidence is one of the most important traits for any person to have. BJJ have been famous for developing this in people at very early stages in life. As kids become more confident in their techniques and their performance in class, the same will happen with their school studies and their relationships with other people.

Jiu-Jitsu will teach children great habits such as healthy competitiveness, exercise, and appreciation of their health!

5-It Increase their balance and coordination

Everyone talks about how great of an exercise jiu-jitsu is and they wish that they could have started earlier. To get your kids involved in jiu-jitsu at an early age (usually 4 years old) is one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Developing balance and coordination at such an early age will not only keep them fit and healthy, but it will also help your child become an athletic and energetic individual throughout their lives. Although children do not understand the full benefits of what they are doing at such a young age, it is the responsibility of the parents to keep them motivated and continuing to go to classes to attain these great physical skills.

“Amazing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program Not Only Teaches Kids Self-Defense … But Gives Them The Tools They Need For Success In Life…”

From focusing, to goal setting, to self-discipline, to self-respect - kids emerge from this Program changed for the better.
And their parents couldn't be happier.

This place is amazing. I have two kids taking classes here, one of them is 10 and the other is 4. Rafael is one of the friendliest people I’ve met and treats the children in his classes like his own. He has a special relationship with each child and makes them feel comfortable and confident. The same can be said of coach Everton who teaches the little ninjas classes. Everyone is extremely welcoming and eager to teach. I couldn’t be happier bringing my kids here to learn not only Jiu Jitsu, but also manners, respect, sportsmanship, and discipline. My kids have gained so much confidence and have made many new friends in the year they have been training here.
